Class Descriptions What We Offer

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu emphasizes taking an opponent to the ground and utilizing ground fighting techniques and submission holds, involving joint locks and chokeholds also found in numerous other arts with or without ground fighting emphasis. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on submissions without the use of strikes, while training allows practitioners to practice at full speed and with full power to resembling the effort used in a real competition. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioners use a uniform called a Gi with an obi (belt) to designate rank.

Submission Wrestling (also known as submission fighting, submission grappling, sport grappling, or simply as No-Gi) refers to techniques, maneuvers, and counters applied to an opponent in order to gain a physical advantage, such as improving their relative position, escaping, and also submitting verbal or tap out. Submission wrestling usually refers only to the form of competition and training that does not use a "jacket", "gi," or "combat kimono," often worn with belts that establish rank by color.



Kickboxing refers to a group of martial arts and stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from a form karate and western boxing. Kickboxing is often practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or as a contact sport.






Boxing refers to a combat sport in which two people engage in a contest of strength, speed, reflexes, endurance, and will, by throwing punches with gloved hands against each other.






Cardio Kickboxing refers to kickboxing without the combat elements. It is a combination of aerobics, boxing, and martial arts -- is one of the most popular fitness trends to hit gymnasiums in recent years. These workouts, which are inspired by martial arts, have motivated many people to start a fitness program.





Combat Conditioning refers to the conditioning of fighters to prepare them before a fight. This class is designed for anyone wanting to get in peak condition without fighting. The class is structured for both the fighter and non-fighter. This class is recommended for students of BJJ and Kickboxing as a supplement to their training.

(Each punch entitles the holder to use the gym during open hours that day and all offered classes)

*Unless indicated above, all memberships' fees are collected monthly via electronic funds transfer or automatic credit card billing.  There are no refunds for any paid fees.  First month is pro-rated, each successive month is paid by automatic debit, 30 days written notice is required to cancel the membership and stop automatic debits (exceptions for military deployments)

*Use of mats and bags during class time, seminars, advance training is subject to discretion of class instructor.
